Areas of focus

INDIVIDUAL PSYCHOTHERAPY

Children and adults in need of therapy are treated regarding various life stressors, emotional and relationship issues, trauma, grief and more, in a private and confidential space where their specific concerns are addressed.

GROUP THERAPY

Teenage group therapy is run from time to time as the need arises. Once there is enough interest in creating a group. DBT (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy); Mindfulness practice; Depression and Anxiety support are addressed.

EFT

EFT or “tapping” sessions are performed in a safe and confidential space. Tapping can be done independently outside of therapy once it is understood and the techniques are entrenched.

COUPLE THERAPY (Interpersonal & relationship)

Couples including LGBTQI+ community, receive support and facilitation regarding relationship dynamics, patterns of behaviour and assistance with the “dance” of their unique situation.

TRAUMA DEBRIEFING

Individuals, couples or families who have experienced significant life trauma such as; death, crime, violence, abuse, divorce or separation are treated with the view to create a path through the trauma, towards healing.

BWRT®

Defined by Terence Watts. “The 'engine' of BWRT® is a naturally occuring brain state, the 'Freeze' response, a 'synthetic' version of which is induced therapeutically and without trauma. Using the primary communication processes of the early brain to reorganise and neutralise the responses associated with the presenting symptom.”

FAMILY THERAPY

Families in crisis are supported and facilitated in understanding the patterns of behaviour that perpetuate certain difficulties within their interactions and are guided towards resolution.

TRE®

TRE® sessions are performed in a safe and comfortable space. Wear comfortable clothing, bring a yoga mat (the practice does have a yoga mat should you not own one) and bring water to drink. The skills are taught to the client with the aim of allowing home practice.

SUPERVISION
FOR CLINICAL
PSYCHOLOGISTS

Independent Clinical Psychologists may attend supervision regarding cases. Currently exploring the option with the HPCSA (Health Professions Council of SA) to allocate CPD points for supervision sessions. More news to follow.

EMDR
